日本飛利浦電子（Philips Electronics Japan，總部：東京）將於2007年9月21日開始銷售刮鬍刀頭可上下左右浮動的新型電動刮鬍刀“Archi-Tech”。其最大的特點是稱作 “Flex ＆ Pivot Action”的刀頭動作，除三個刀頭可分別獨立上下左右浮動外，刀頭整體還可前後左右浮動。即使是下顎下部起伏較多的頸部輪廓，刀頭也可貼得很緊，從而減少鬍渣殘留。
雖然05年上市的“HQ9100/HQ8100”系列也採用了刀頭整體可以浮動的“Suspension System”，但當時能浮動方向僅為前後方向。此外，雖然HQ9100/HQ8100三個刀頭上下方向的浮動也是中央凹進式，但Archi-Tech由於浮動的支點在中心附近，所以向外側浮動的可浮動範圍擴大。此外，Archi-Tech還配備有此前的一個刀頭中配備3列旋轉刀片的“Triple Truck Head”技術以及利用2枚一組的刀片從根部刮鬍的“Super Lift ＆ Cut”技術等。
飛利浦開發Archi-Tech時考慮到了日本消費者的需求。在刀頭獨立的全新設計基礎上，主體的把手部變細，就是參考了日本人的手比歐美人的手小的“把手粗，很難握”的意見。雖然在全球的刮鬍刀市場中飛利浦品牌位居市場佔有率第1位，但日本的刮鬍刀市場中，其市場佔有率僅居第3位。飛利浦今後將積極開展行銷活動等來提高知名度，以便實現10％的市場佔有率。
