Our University flag, on top of the Albert Sloman Library, is flying at half-mast in memory of Christina Squibb, whose funeral is taking place today.

Christina was a wonderful colleague and will always be remembered for her marvellous sense of humour, positivity and kindness.


As information about coronavirus began to spread, residents and news outlets in China felt an urgency to share what they knew, in defiance of a state propaganda apparatus that stresses positivity at all times.
People in China are habituated to be cautious and apolitical in their online behavior. The coronavirus outbreak has appeared to weaken that conditioning.
