Zimbabwean opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai says that his Movement for Democratic Change will quit talks for a unity government if abductions of party members do not stop. Tsvangirai told reporters in Gabarone, Botswana, that the whereabouts of more than 42 members of the MDC and civil society were still unknown. Tsvangirai demanded that abductions cease and that all abductees be released or charged in a court of law by January the 1st 2009.

Search for kidnapped French aid workers underway in Afghanistan

Authorities in Afghanistan are searching for two French aid workers, who were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on Friday. The French nationals working for the humanitarian group Action Contre la Faim were abducted in Neli in Daikundi Province. As a result of the kidnapping, ACF has suspended its current relief operations in Afghanistan, which it said benefited more than 130,000 people in 2007.

Trafficking of human beings is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of people for the purpose of exploitation.
Trafficking involves a process of using illicit means such as threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability.
Exploitation 剝削 includes persons forced into prostitution or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs. For children exploitation may include also, illicit international adoption, trafficking for early marriage, recruitment as child soldiers, for begging or for sports (such as child camel jockeys or football players).[1]
