After completing plans for the renovation in 2019, the Vincents moved into a rental around the corner so Tenet Construction could begin work in May 2020, in the early days of the pandemic.

Archaeologist's Discovery Astounds Local
s

Local residents knew their families had lived in the region for a long time, but they never imagined their local roots went as deep as they actually do.

Fifteen years ago, archaeologists working in Germany's Harz Mountains discovered human bones in a cave. They were the remains of people who lived three thousand years ago. DNA tests were carried out on the bones and then last year, scientists announced their astonishing results. They've established that two local men are the descendants of these Bronze Age hunters.

Mr. Zumthor is the 33rd laureate to receive the prize, which consists of a $100,000 grant and a bronze medallion and is awarded at a different architecturally significant location each year. This year’s ceremony is to be held on May 29 in Buenos Aires.

Animal Husbandry
Example 2 from my friend Dr. Edward C. Bryant. While he was at the University of Wyoming, someone came in from the Department of Animal Husbandry to announce to him an astounding scientific discovery - the fibres on the left side of sheep, and those on the right side, are of
different diameter. Dr. Bryant asked him how many fibres he had in the sample; answer, 50,000.

Eel producers, for example, often used nitrofuran to kill bacteria. But that antibiotic has been banned for use in animal husbandry in the United States, Europe, Japan, and even China, because it has caused cancer in laboratory rats.

Ma Ying, head of the Fodder Division of the Animal Husbandry Department of China's Ministry of Agriculture, says the inspection system in China is based on production licenses. "Each year we issue or renew 2,000 licenses for the 15,000 animal feed producers in China. That's about 13%. In addition, we have an approval number system for each new product that means we inspect about 50% of all producers each year."
