DeLonghi Safeheat Twin Oscillating Ceramic Heater DCH4120

Date Published: 5/12/05

The DeLonghi DCH4120 is thoughtfully designed ceramic room heater. Its compact styling is unobtrusive; it looks more like a piece of audio equipment than a heater. But the controls are not hard to find. It has a big, easy-to-read thermostat control located at the top of the unit for easy access, and the on-off control is a foot switch. The twin ceramic heating elements send heat in opposite directions for better heat distribution. Large grille covers facilitate heat distribution as well. Three different heat settings allow you to decide how quickly to deliver heat. The DCH4120 also has two non-heating functions. There is a fan-only setting for air circulation in the summer, and an air filter traps airborne particles. The unit does not include a timer.
This heater will supplement heat in an average-size room (93 to 216 square feet, depending upon insulation and fenestration) and works on normal household current. Maximum amp draw is 13. The unit will automatically switch on if the room temperature falls below 44 degrees Fahrenheit.
