Vitamin makers have discovered that consumers have a sweet tooth for gummy candy versions of their products.

ANNA BUTLER, who balked at paying $15.99 a pound for pecans, which are in short supply this year. Citigroup Chief Executive Vikram Pandit, a fan of pecan pie, has something of a sweet tooth. And last week he seemed to be channeling his inner child. "Being at Citi reminds me of being in a candy store. We have everything, so whatever you want, we can offer it to you," he told students during his passage to his home country of India last week. That's something of an update from Citi's old financial-supermarket concept.
