Obama in London on last leg of international tour
US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has held talks with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in London. After the meeting, Obama told a press conference in front of 10 Downing Street that they had discussed ways to strengthen trans-Atlantic relations so as to solve problems that no country could solve on its own. He said talks also touched on climate change, international terrorism and the global financial crisis. The Illinois senator also acknowledged Britain's role in Iraq and Afghanistan. Earlier, Obama met former prime minister and Middle East envoy Tony Blair. The UK visit is the final leg of an international tour that took him to the Middle East and mainland Europe. On Thursday, he was given a rockstar reception in Berlin, where he addressed around 200,000 people in front of the historic Victory Column.
