Salt rooms help soothe the soul

Salt has long been recognized as having healing properties that assist people in dealing with stress and a myriad of health issues that can strike at any time.

A new business in Berlin has wised up to the benefits of salt to create a salt room spa with whole rooms made up entirely of salt. Forget about sterile bathing houses or stuffy saunas - these salt rooms offer a new take on health and relaxation.

Call it an aquarium for humans. You end up feeling like someone’s well-fed goldfish, darting around in the bubbles, wondering what is behind the next gilded rock.
Inspa is an elaborate local copy of a jimjilbang, a traditional Korean 24-hour bathhouse where families soak, steam and eat together, and sometimes even sleep over.
