At least these collaborations across time attempt to ground interpretive photography in some deeply felt response to the past. A Nan Goldin slide show also does this well. It’s something that DALL-E technology won’t soon learn. (The one big use of A.I. I saw came from Augustin Rebetez, a video of genuinely hideous morphing faces. But is it photography?)
