Travelling Exhibition Looks at Romanian City With Fresh Eyes

"Bucharest - Fragment in a Box" is a multimedia touring exhibition that presents the sights and sounds of the European metropolis of Bucharest, in Romania.

This exhibition uses four wooden boxes, so called "peep boxes" – that were popular back in the 18th and 19th centuries – and allow the visitors to peep in, and see and hear life as it really happens in Bucharest.
German photographer, Greta Hoheisel and sound artist Norbert Lang spent a whole year in Bucharest – to capture the city’s everyday activities.
