Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had malignant nodules removed from her lung at a New York hospital, the high court says. No evidence of disease remains, the statement added.

A nodule is a growth of abnormal tissue. Nodules can develop just below the skin. They can also develop in deeper skin tissues or internal organs.
