Nvidia, which makes computer chips that are essential to building artificial intelligence, said on Wednesday that its quarterly profit had jumped to nearly $32 billion, up 65 percent from a year earlier and 245 percent from the year before that.
"A house of cards" can refer to a literal structure made of playing cards or, more commonly, a metaphorical phrase for a plan, situation, or institution that is weak, flimsy, and on the verge of collapse. The term is also the title of a popular political thriller novel and a TV series, particularly the American Netflix series starring Kevin Spacey, which is also based on the British series and novel.
