In light of all the corporate money secretly flooding political front groups, more than 1 million comments have been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission urging publicly traded corporations be required to disclose their political spending. That’s the largest response ever received by the SEC. But business groups, led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, are dead-set against any such rule.
