The survey comes as the majority of white evangelicals are expected to favor Donald J. Trump.


In 2011, just 30 percent of white evangelicals said this.

Niebuhr was born in Missouri in 1892, the son of a German-born minister of the German Evangelical Synod of North America. He was trained for the ministry at the Synod's Eden Theological Seminary and at the Yale Divinity School. In the 1920's he took a church in industrial Detroit, the scene of bitter labor-capital conflict.

From outcasts to chosen people, the conversion of France’s gypsies to evangelical Christianity

French gypsies belonging to the Pentecostal Gypsy Church ‘Vie et Lumiere’ - Light and Life - have just held a week-long meeting in central France.

Some 40,000 travellers came to the event in central France confirming what other recent rallies already suggested - that evangelical Protestantism has replaced Catholicism as the principal religion of French gypsies. There is an extraordinary rise of Jesus’s gypsies and Evangelical Christianity is having an impact on the lifestyle, behaviour and identity of gypsies in France.
