美國發生歷來最嚴重的個人財務資料外洩案件,電腦駭客近日入侵信用卡處理中心CardSystems系統,盜取4000萬個信用卡號碼,受影響的信用卡公司包括萬事達、Visa、美國運通、Discover等,美國聯邦調查局 (FBI)已展開調查。
駭客入侵電腦系統
首先披露資料失竊的萬事達卡國際組織表示,駭客是在CardSystems的電腦系統中做了手腳,竊取了信用卡號碼、到期日及卡主姓名,單是萬事達卡便有1390萬個號碼外洩,至少已有68千個帳戶被盜用,該公司拒絕透露損失金額,但強調客戶的地址和社會安全號碼沒有洩露,駭客無法盜用客人的身分。
萬事達批評CardSystems違反該組織的規則,將持卡人的帳號與安全碼儲存在該公司的電腦系統中。萬事達表示,這些資料應傳至發卡銀行,不應由CardSystems保存。
2千萬張信用卡資料外洩的Visa發言人也指責Card Systems未遵守Visa的規則。Discover和美國運通均表示,正密切監控客戶的帳戶動向。
總部設在亞特蘭大的Card Systems是處理商家要求信用卡授權的公司,當消費者刷卡付款時,信用卡上的資料會先傳送到這類公司取得認可,然後再轉交給銀行的電腦付款給商家,CardSystems每年處理的交易額高達150億美元(4700億台幣)
台灣萬事達卡國際組織總經理江威娜表示,遭駭客入侵的CardSystems處理中心,其資料應以美國當地辦卡客戶為主,國內辦卡民眾雖不受影響,但詳細受害情況仍要等總公司匯整通知後,才知實際影響有多大。
江威娜說,一查到資料,會將可能有遭盜錄之虞的卡號公告通知所有銀行業者,屆時各銀行也會主動通知客戶,因此請客戶不必恐慌。
