The End of Privacy?

Federal laws are too weak for new forms of surveillance of our plugged-in lives. This inattention carries a heavy price.




 Mr. Shamir was part of a group of politicians who rose to power in the 1970s and adopted an unyielding opposition to territorial concessions for Palestinians.


The best approach would be for China and Japan to agree to refer the dispute to the International Court of Justice, but realistically that won’t happen. And since some believe that the area is rich with oil and gas reserves, the claims from each side have become more insistent.
